h2h sketch

The HH and I process things a bit differently.
After a recent family loss, he has been busy building a shed in his spare time.
I, on the other hand, haven't been able to create anything.
I finally decided to give the H2H Sketch Challenge  a try. I'm not really pleased with the results, but at least I made something!

Be sure to visit Heart2Heart to check out the design team's fabulous creations.

Below are a few other cards I created but never posted. The wings ones were with pieces leftover from my first workshop outside of my home.

Loving the Spray Pens!

I love, love, love the new CTMH spray pens. Here are a couple of cards combining the spray pens with embossing for a watercolor effect:

So Lucky / Enjoy Life

I am so enamored with the new Lucky papers and the Enjoy Life stamp set set.  I needed some masculine-ish cards so it was lucky for me, I had the paper and stamps :)  (corny, I know...)

I purposely left some of these without a sentiment so I would have masculine cards on hand for Get Well or Thank You cards.
I like to add some texture without too much bulk.  Paper folding like on this card is one way to accomplish that.

another way to add texture is simple score lines like in the (awful) photo above :)

I have two male friends (husbands of two of my best friends) who have birthdays on March 23.  I love using my Moments in Time, with its mini calendars (D1339 - available only until sold out - which may already have occured) to personalize cards.

These last two cards actually use the Wings Creative Paper rather than the Lucky.

This is My Story LO 3 using Wings paper

Has it really been 2 weeks since I have posted?
Life has been a bit crazy around here.

Lots of stuff going on...some really exciting and some rather sad.  My mother-in-law is in hospice with not much time left.  The HH, kids and I have been reflecting on some of our favorite times with her and realizing that her love language was most likely giving, and that her grandchildren were the apples of her eye.  The reminiscing has left me even more determined to complete my "Story of Me" album  - not just for my kids but for my grandkids as well (should the Lord ever bless me with any!) My friend Sandra and I created our third layouts more than a week ago but I simply have not had time to post.  Here's mine:

The large flower above was created using a square punch and a corner rounder.  For the larger inner circle, I used the new CTMH spiral circle punch.  I am so excited about all the things you can do with a spiral circle punch!!

This is My Story LO 2

Here's another layout for my This is My Story album:

I will be journaling on the jounaling pages (7 Gyspsies) but thought I'd post first :)

I created the flower paper using re-inkers (sorbet and juniper, separately) in the new spray bottles and then stamping with the new Universal Backgrounds (script) stamp.  I was very happy with the results! I used the rest of the juniper in my spray bottle to color a cream ribbon so it matched . Simple and easy!!

I will be stamping the names and birth dates on each rectangle once I get the accurate info from my parents.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy weekend to you.
