CPS 125...Be Strong
It was a very busy day for the Isoms, but I still managed to get a little card making in. Here's my take on this week's sketch from http://www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

cps 124
I can't believe it has been four weeks since I have taken part in the Card Positioning Sketch challenge. I had a hard time even finding where anything was in my craft room...which is still a disaster!
Not too long ago, Alyssa thanked Scott and I for being there when she needs us. I thought that was a good sentiment to put on a card. Here's my take on sketch 124:

I'm back...with CPS 120
Those who follow my rambling thoughts blog have probably already figured out why I haven't posted anything for the past couple of days...I have been trying to nurse Alyssa through a broken heart. We've kept busy going to the pool, and on long walks and watching movies but unfortunately, the hurt isn't subsiding. And you know how it is as a mother...a child's pain is magnified in your own heart. I don't know who has shed more tears...Alyssa or me. I made this card for her with the CPS 120 sketch. The butterflies are a reminder that struggles and pain do result in something beautiful if we allow them to; the scripture is a reminder that while mankind may let us down, there is One that we can put our complete trust in and know that He never fails. I won't give it to her just yet...the pain is still too raw ...maybe in a few days...or weeks...

PS Don't forget to check out my blog candy . Also, a welcome to my new followers...my work is simple and I'm honored to have you visit my site!

CPS 116...Love This Sketch!
I think it was a record for me...this card only took about 20 minutes to make...the sketch is one of my CPS favorites! To take the challenge yourself, click here
And in case you thought I didn't create anything yesterday...here's a card I made. I just wasn't really happy with the way it turned out so didn't bother posting alone.

CPS 114
What's a girl to do when she has an hour to spare before family movie time and a craving for sparkles and flowers (after nothing but masculine layouts?) Head for the CPS Sketch 114 of course! Here's two takes on this week's sketch.
I never would have gravitated to this dog stamp set by gel-a-tins on my own, but a while back I let the girls pick out a stamp set at Archivers using our 30 percent off coupon and this is what they chose. They haven't used it yet, so I decided to play with it.

Hope you had a wonderful Son-day! We had a delightful afternoon lunch with two couples from church and two of Matthew's friends. Now I'm off to enjoy a movie with my gang.
