They Get Me Every Time

Masculine cards. They get me every time.  I used the Papertake Weekly Challenge 43 sketch to create this one, but I wasn't really pleased with it.

I'm also finishing up Thank You cards for Alyssa (for graduation.)  They should have been in the mail awhile ago, but cards keep trickling in and so I think "as soon as she gets this one done" we'll mail them - they have to go in non-machinable mailing so I want to mail them all at once.  I've tried to keep the cards very simple and I'm reminded that's what really appeals to me anyway - the simple cards.  At least the ones I make - I've seen some gorgeous, elaborate ones in blogosphere.

Here's an up close view of a heart that I used crackle paint on. I love the crackle paint - it gives it more of a vintage look.

Thanks for stopping by,
Marie with a : )

I think your masculine card turned out wonderful!! I like the green and brown combination -- lovely! Your thank you cards are fantastic, as well. Anyone receiving them will certainly be impressed!

Marie, your distressing and hole piercing are really cool on the man's card! I'm a big "clean and simple" fan, and I think every one of your thank you cards is so pretty.
