Whew. What a year 2011 has turned out to be. Lots of major events have had me missing-in-action from the papercraft world. The most recent event was a hysterectomy, but I am happy to say that I am well on my way to recovery and am back in the saddle craft room again!
I particularly liked having one of my sweet daughters spend a couple of evenings making cards with me.
At first, I simply made another dozen wings cards with bits and pieces I all ready had cut out.
Then my sweet friend DP left a bag on my door, with some precut cards and papers for me to assemble some quick and easy Mother's Day cards.
This same sweet friend joined me in the craft room last night and we created some "You're Sweet" and "Hot Diggity" cards. The Hot Diggity cards were inspired by this card that I saved to my CASE file but it doesn't have a name with it...so if you know who the creator is, please give credit. The "peaches" card was inspired by the amazing Debbie Carriere You really need to check out her blog!
And tonight I finally finished the layout of my parents that I started nearly two months ago!
My mom was (and is) such a tiny and beautiful lady! Growing up, I always thought she was the prettiest mom I knew.
Hopefully I'll get back to posting at least once a week. But even more than paper crafting I miss WALKING...and I even miss HOUSE WORK! My family has been wonderful but sitting around, reading, sleeping and eating (and watching countless episodes of Murder She Wrote) gets boring :)
Happy Mother's Day! And thanks for stopping by,
Marie with a :)
