Challenging Get Wells...

As I posted yesterday, I have quite a number of christian get well cards to finish today. I completed one before going to Matthew's soccer game and two more afterwards. This first one is for the Sweet Shop challenge which included both a sketch AND a color challenge. While I didn't use any Sweet-n-Sassy stamps on the outside of this card, I did use a scripture from the set #10 Trust in the Lord on the inside.
At first I was thinking I wouldn't complete the 365 Cards challenge because I don't believe in luck, until I checked out the "luck" symbols and discovered praying hands is one such symbol. Now I don't believe in luck, but I DO believe in the power of prayer so here is my take:

This last card wasn't for any challenge...just using up some scraps that were sitting around. I still have five to ten more cards to finish today so no more rambling :-). Thanks for taking a peek...I so appreciate all of the kind comments.

Get Well Marathon... (lots of pics)

I received an e-mail from my step MIL yesterday telling me she was ready for another round of Get Well cards. She has purchased quite a number from me in the past because she sends all of the Get Well cards for her (small) church. I decided I would try to make twenty for her before we see her on Sunday evening...what was I thinking? Tomorrow Matthew has a soccer game and we are having company for lunch after church on Sunday so I really SHOULD clean my house and decide on a menu. I did make seven cards today, though. Maybe I'll squeeze in another seven tomorrow? The rest I'll just have to pull from my stash. Feel free to click on the pictures to enlarge. Enjoy your weekend...

I really love these jungle animals from Close To My Heart...they are so versatile!

Challenging Lunch Break

The girls are watching some of Anne of Green Gables during their lunch break, so I thought I'd check out a couple card challenges. This card incorporates Penny's Challenge #7, which calls for a scallop and Color Dare 34 which calls for blush, chocolate and celery green. All products are Close To My Heart.

New Creature

Lately I have been spending more time than usual reading the life-changing Word and have been reminded of so many scriptural truths that I had begun to take for granted. This card reminds me of one of those truths. All products are Close To My Heart except the butterfly and sentiment which are Sweet-n-Sassy stamps.

Thanks for stopping by...I always appreciate the visits and comments.

Penny's Challenge

Here I go again...another sketch challenge! This time it's Penny's Challenge #6 . Now I'm going to get my disciplined self ( self discipline is a trait I'm always working on, LOL) upstairs to read for a while with my sweetie before calling it a night. PS I'm still using Alyssa's camera...these CTMH colors are so much more vibant than they appear!
Hugs,

CPS 132 and Color Dare Challenge 33

I discovered Lori's blog today (take a peek...it's great!) and subsequently the Color Dare - she's on the design team. I combined that challenge with CPS 132 to create this card, using Close To My Heart colors...garden green, hydrangea, amysthyst and colonial white.

Thanks for stopping by...I appreciate all the kind comments.

365/Day 188

It's been a fun Friday so far...lotsa work done early on so I could take a break and meet a friend at Starbucks. Friday also means that Michelle has a 4 hour theater rehearsal so Scott and I will drop her off and enjoy a picnic in the park and some date time. Then tomorrow, after Matthew's soccer game, DH and I are heading to the Springs for a two day get-away...I am soooo looking forward to the time. Anyway, I did managed to get in Day 188 with the 365 Day challenge. As I said previously, I'll do about 4 cards with a particular paperpack before moving on, so this is another Silhouette card - all products are Close To My Heart.
Hope you have a fabulous 3 day weekend!

My first "365" challenge; Penny's challenge

Not too long ago, I discovered the 365 cards challenge . I have taken a peek a few times, but today was the first day I jumped in, with their ad inspired card. I like the idea of a different challenge every day! Most products are Close To My Heart except the sentiment on the second card, the pearls, and the flower center. At Sarah's suggestion, I'm also including this in Penny's Challenge which was to use pearls.
.
I received another FUN package from Samantha today and my daughters and I have been enjoying all of the CTMH products she gifted us with (as she has become a Stampin Up demonstrator.) I'm sure she'll have lots of great stuff on her blog soon, so be sure to check it out.
Thanks for taking a peek.
