July Calendar Page...a little late

I finished my 2009 calendar back in December, but for whatever reason, never completed the July page. Since we are more than a quarter of the way through July, I figured I better get busy! I used 52 Sketches #27 to give me a jump start. This showcases a picture from February 14, 2008 - the day my son arrived home after spending a year in Iraq. I was one happy mom!
I had a Close To My Heart order come in yesterday and was really bummed that none of it was for me! But Alanna's candy should be on the way on Friday, and one of my dearest friends purchased the Wishes book and is giving me a chance to peruse it this week, so I am excited about that.

Great layout and so touching. How thrilled you must have been to have your son home. I'm sorry to hear that none of the goodies in your box was for you. I'll be looking forward to mine and have fun perusing through the Wishes Book.

I didn't realize that one of your sons was/had been in the service (and in Iraq no less!). I love this calendar page --the photo is wonderful, as is the patriotic theme and the LO design! Beautiful job, Marie!
