Twisted Cards 9

Too many late nights lately.  I'm soooo tired. But I decided to make a quick card using the Twisted Cards Sketch.  They are called "twisted" because there's an added twist to each sketch..  For example, this sketch's twist was to use rub ons, which I did for the sentiment.

Finished With Alyssa's Album!

It took six Tombow refills, but I did it!  Alyssa's album is finished...now I can clean my house and grocery shop before my dad and stepmom arrive tomorrow evening. Forty pages.  Done.
On an "oops" note...I have had my days "off" all week this week and managed to miss my last physical therapy session today . It wasn't that I needed it - even with all of the crafting I've been doing this week I feel great - but I feel awful to have wasted my therapist's time when she could have scheduled someone else.  Ugh.  Anyway...the last two pages:

Couldn't possibly get any more pages in here even if I wanted to!

ALMOST DONE!!! (with Alyssa's album...)

After completing these two layouts, I have only ONE (2 page) LAYOUT LEFT!!
For this first one, titled waiting for her tattoo I used the Practical Scrappers Friday Sketch to make the second page (which I did first : -) )  If you make it through all of these photos, please check out my request at the end of this post...

Page 2 (which utilizes the PS sketch)

Even though I received a craft sewing machine for mother's day, I didn't have time to fiddle with it...so I'm still using faux stitching.
This next layout (which makes 38 pages!!) is titled Mock Trial and I confess the base pages were premade...I just embellished.  I'm not sure why two of the phots flipped when I posted them. Rebelling against the premade bit?

This one shows the second page and below is the same page with two photos that are "hidden" under CTMH flip flaps.

Again...the photo flipped??? I LOVE Tim Holtz products and used his method of altering metal with paint to give it a more aged look.

For the request...would you please check out my 14 year old daughter's BLOG and take her thirty second movie poll. Also, she's trying to motivate herself to write more and decided to write book reviews. Read her first one (another 60 seconds...) and let her know how she's doing. Thanks! Marie with a : )

And another one down...(Alyssa's Album; FTL 92 and FBW 111)

I'm not sure if the Fall to LOs are intended for cards only, but I opted to use this weeks sketch for another LO for Alyss'as scrapbook.  I love the Clean and Simple challenges!  This also meets the Flutter By Wednesday challenge. (I so love butterflies : ) )

I thought I only had five pages left, but forgot about doing a Mock Trial LO...so I'm back to six more pages...and I don't think her scrapbook can possibly fit any more than that!
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a beautiful Memorial Day weekend!

ABC (Another Alyssa Layout)

The times that I have participated in ABC Challenge I have created a card.  Since I'm still plugging away at Alyssa's album, I used the "V is for vintage" to make a vintage-ish layout.  I only have 3 more (2-page) layouts and then I am done, since the book is already bursting at the seams!

I'm sure that I'll go back and fiddle with this page because it doesn't seem quite right.

Papertake Weekly Sketch (Another LO for Alyssa's Album)

I was looking for scrapbook sketches, and ran across Papertake Weekly
I really liked the sketch and it made the first page of this LO a breeze.
On a sad note...I lost one of my new CTMH acrylic stamps...anyone who has seen my craft room knows that trying to find a clear stamp will be like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack...
Page One

Page Two

That means I only have about 5 more layouts to complete : - )   I think it calls for a sunshine break...

Twisted Sketches Saves The Day (Alyssa's Album)

I've been frantically trying to work on Alyssa's album and since I haven't scrapped in eons, my muse seems to have gone into hibernation.  This Twisted Sketches challenge REALLY helped me throw together a quick page.  Now I'm going to have to peruse their other sketches!  The first photo is based on the TS sketch, following are just some other pages for the album...some done yesterday and some done a couple of years ago!  I am making progress...
I almost always create two page layout...but some of these I only took pictures of the first page to save time.

You can click on the pictures to enlarge. The photos didn't come out great...I still need to learn some photography skills...

The following layouts were done a couple of years ago...definitely not my best work : )

When this layout is side by side its title reads: pure delight

Grad Album #1 and FTL 91

It's so nice to be back in the craft room , even if it is total chaos and I can't remember what I have much less where everything is! And I'm still looking for my Muse to return...but I did get started on Grad Album #1 for Alyssa.  This album will be a 6x6 (covers are 7" x 6.5") and will be used for people to leave comments, advice or memories with Alyssa.
I'm mostly inspired by Tim Holtz...I just really love the look of his work. The bird cage is a Tim Holtz die and the bird is from a SU punch. (the bird cage has a bird with it but I liked the SU one better)

I used the Clean And Simple FTL 91 Sketch for the first divider page. (I hope to make 4 or 5 divider pages but still need to put together her 12 x 12 album although I have a lot of layouts already completed for that.)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to spend most of this week in the craftroom.  I have a Close To My Heart order arriving tomorrow and I can't wait to dig into the goodies : - )

Unscripted 56

It's that time of year when things are beginning to wind down.  ELM Advanced Training for Counselors class is finished...at least as far as the classroom portion.  I still have quite a number of books to read, counseling sessions to complete and much more.  But no more Thursday night class.  The kids are (mostly) done with school. CYT just finished their production of Seussical Junior...I'm ready for some simple "down" time.  Now, to get Alyssa's scrapbook finished and graduation party taken care of and I'll be FREE of any obligations for a couple of weeks at least.  Love that feeling : )  Anyway, here's my take on the Unscripted Sketches 56  It has been a long time since I've managed to complete a US sketch!

Getting My Feet Wet...with a Mojo Challenge

I haven't created anything since March 29th...I think I've forgotten what supplies I have and where everything in the craft room is!  But I am getting my feet wet again, with a Mojo Monday Challenge  I'm going to need to actually dive in soon because I've got to complete Alyssa's album before her grad party at the start of next month. For now, a Mother's Day card is all I could muster up!
After checking out TAMMY'S suggestion, I discovered this card also meets the Heart 2 Heart challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
